…on a Bike Ride along the Seine

Every weekend, the Paris waterfront along the Seine is closed for traffic between 9am and 5pm. The perfect opportunity to take advantage of a sunny afternoon in fall, rent a “Velib” bike, and explore the riverfront up close. Sit down by the river for a perfect display of la vie parisien: chic ladies with dogs, lovers strolling arm in arm, and families teaching their little ones how to ride a bike.

For a short tour, start in the popular “Le Marais” and descend the ramp at the Quai de la Rapée, taking you past the Pont Neuf and various other bridges crossing the Seine. Continue through the tunnels leading you to the Jardin des Tuileries, where you can see the golden autumn at its best. If you have more time and energy left, you can bike as far as the Eiffel Tower or the Pont d’Austerlitz.
